Azerbaijan values your involvement in resolving the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. This was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a trilateral meeting in Sochi, addressing Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“The situation in the zone of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers is stable; there have been no serious incidents or deliberate provocations. I want to express my gratitude to the Russian peacekeepers for their good service. They ensure the security of the region,” said Aliyev.

He mentioned that this year Azerbaijan has been as constructive as possible regarding the removal of the consequences of the war and the unblocking of communications. “I believe this is one of the important topics that has not yet been realized, as practically all points of the trilateral statement from November 9 have been implemented,” said Aliyev, noting that the issues of delimitation and demarcation will also be discussed, in which he emphasizes the advisory role of Russia.

Ilham Aliyev stated that they have announced their readiness to begin the delimitation and demarcation process. He also noted that they have publicly offered the Armenian side to start working on a peace agreement, to learn to live as neighbors again.
