Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has stated that Iran is firmly against any changes to the borders of regional countries, as reported by Tasnim news.

In a phone conversation with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan on Wednesday, Amir-Abdollahian reaffirmed Iran's policy of rejecting any alterations to the borders of neighboring countries. He expressed concern regarding the recent military conflicts in the Caucasus region and called for restraint and respect for territorial integrity.

Urging an expansion of relations between Tehran and Yerevan in all sectors, Amir-Abdollahian noted the willingness of Iranian companies to strengthen their presence in the Republic of Armenia. He also expressed hope that the joint economic commission would convene as soon as possible.

According to the source, Mirzoyan, for his part, addressed the proposed roadmap for bilateral relations, which was emphasized during his recent visit to Tehran, and expressed readiness to establish a joint economic commission aimed at expanding trade relations with Iran. He also highly appreciated Iran's stance on respecting the territorial integrity of countries and underscored Yerevan's determination to promote relations with Iran, as stated in the message published on the Iranian government's website.
