US President Joe Biden underwent a surgical procedure last week, during which a benign polyp was removed. According to NBC News, the growth was removed during a colonoscopy.

Earlier, doctors suggested that it could be a precancerous growth. The White House physician has indicated that there is currently no need for further treatment.

The medical intervention took place on November 19. Biden had undergone a similar procedure in 2008.
