New Statement from the 'Armenia' Alliance
The 'Armenia' alliance has issued a statement. 'It has been over a month since the National Assembly's investigative committee, tasked with examining the use of funds collected by the 'Armenia' pan-Armenian foundation and transferred to the state budget of the Republic of Armenia, was established by the legal requirement of at least 1/4 of the members of Parliament. Although Nikol Pashinyan and several members of the political majority have claimed that they have nothing to hide, the composition of the investigative committee has yet to be approved by the Speaker of the National Assembly.'
Condemning the criminal behavior of the current political authority, and guided by the Constitution and the 'Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly' constitutional law, we take into account that the chairperson of the investigative committee is legally appointed, and noting that the names of three members from the opposition factions 'Armenia' and 'I Have Honor' are known, we state that the committee has the authority to request and obtain the necessary information pertaining to its jurisdiction from relevant authorities and individuals.
We announce that, at this stage, we have requested necessary information from the government and have also approached the 'Armenia' pan-Armenian foundation for the same purpose. We appeal to media representatives and citizens, expressing our willingness to discuss any information revealed or containing substantiated suspicions in the investigative committee.
Investigative Committee: (Chair) Artavazd Minasian, Hayk Mamijanyan, Elinar Vardanyan, Tadevos Avetisyan.
