Erdogan Again Accuses the West of Inaction
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has once again accused the West and Europe of inaction regarding the rise of "anti-Islamic" sentiments in their countries, according to Sabah.
“Muslims face racist, discriminatory, islamophobic, and xenophobic actions in many countries, especially in Europe. The so-called measures that restrict fundamental human rights and freedoms, as well as the freedoms of the Muslim community, are alarming. Turkey is making every effort to use international platforms and fight against these issues. As an organization, we must work together and expand our cooperation in this area,” he stated.
Earlier this year, Erdogan announced that Western countries were not taking action against the “growing anti-Islamic sentiments.” He also urged Turkish organizations to take measures to address issues concerning Muslims and Turks in those countries.
