The Chief Prosecutor Will Receive Approximately 2 Million Drams Monthly

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" has reported that amendments will be made to the RA law on "Remuneration of State Officials and Persons Holding State Positions." It has come to our attention that employees of the Anti-Corruption Committee will receive an additional payment of two percent for each year of service in the Anti-Corruption Committee, the National Security Service, the Police, the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense, or the State Revenue Committee.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia has proposed amendments to the law on "Remuneration of State Officials and Persons Holding State Positions." These amendments set the following additional remuneration for certain positions that require "special risk and expertise": 90 percent for the Chief Prosecutor of Armenia and 100 percent for the Deputy Chief Prosecutors.

If the proposed amendments are accepted, the Chief Prosecutor of Armenia will receive approximately 2 million drams monthly, while his deputies will earn around 1.5 million drams.
