Tragic Incident in Parakar: Former MP's Brother Involved in Pedestrian Accident Resulting in Mother's Death

On November 19, a tragic incident occurred in the Armavir region. Around 19:30, Levon Movsisyan, a 57-year-old resident of Armavir, struck two pedestrians with his VAZ 2121 vehicle at the administrative area of Parakar village, in front of the Parakar school on the Yerevan-Armavir road.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, the female pedestrian died on the spot, while the young girl was severely injured and taken first to 'Astghik' medical center and then to 'Surp Astvatsamayr' medical center.

Reports indicate that the driver was Levon Movsisyan, who is the brother of former MP Arakel Movsisyan, known by the nickname 'Shmays.' Following the incident, Movsisyan voluntarily presented himself to the Vagharshapat police station.

According to G. Shamshyan, the deceased and the injured are mother and daughter. Police and the investigation department are working to establish the identities of the deceased and the injured.
