Confidence in Strategic Partnership with Russia Can Change in an Instant - Kocharyan

The increase in potential escalation should be concerning for the international community, stated Andranik Kocharyan, a member of the Civil Contract faction in the National Assembly. He recalled that during the 44-day war, terrorist groups were utilized by Turkey and Azerbaijan.

“These groups, although not currently noticeable, will become visible with any further increase in tension and will pose a threat not only to the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan but also to the international community,” said Kocharyan.

He emphasized that the fragile confidence that exists in the strategic partnership with Russia could change in an instant if there are no interventions in the actions occurring at the borders.
