Roman, the brother of Senior Lieutenant Taron Sahakyan who participated in and was killed during the Azerbaijani aggression from November 14-16, denied reports claiming that his brother had been taken captive and that his body was mutilated and unrecognizable.

"I am currently in the morgue, there is no such thing. My brother was not captured, and he was not killed by torture. Taron died on the spot from shrapnel wounds – from a grenade explosion," stated Roman.

It should be noted that on November 17, the Deputy Commander of the South Military District, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, transferred a body of an Armenian serviceman handed over by the Azerbaijani side to Armenia. Later, the Ministry of Defense announced that the serviceman was Senior Lieutenant Taron Jivani Sahakyan, born in 1990.
