Murder in Yerevan: Man's Body Found in Private Home in Kanaker

Today, on November 15, a murder took place in Yerevan. Around 09:00, the Kanaker-Zeytun police department received a call reporting a man's body at 3/3 Fanjaryan Street.

According to reports from the scene by shamshyan.com, Sevan Kocharyan, the head of Yerevan City Police, Arthur Zakaryan, the operational deputy head of the department, and Hovhannes Aristakessian, head of the criminal investigation department, arrived at the location. Patrol officers secured the area.

Police and investigators discovered the body of a man in the guest room of the residence, found in bed. According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert, there are signs of violence on the victim's face.

Authorities have identified the deceased as 54-year-old Tigran K., a resident of the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district. Following the event, V. Mamikonyan, the head of the Kanaker-Zeytun investigation department, established an investigative team. Based on the team's leader's decision, a criminal case has been initiated.

Currently, investigators are conducting examinations at the crime scene, aided by forensic experts from the Armenian Police's forensic department. According to reports from photojournalists, police and investigators have identified the alleged individuals who were with the deceased shortly before his death. Patrol officers Sevak Arakelyan and Jacques Manvelyan from the 2nd Battalion of the Yerevan Patrol Service escorted two men to the Kanaker-Zeytun police department to clarify their identities and their connection to the incident.
