Sons of Tush, Kankakh Murder Victim, Arrested: Details
In Kankakh, five individuals have been arrested in connection with the murder of Artush Simonian, also known as Tush, a former member of the National Assembly, and two others. Among those arrested are all four of Tush's sons, one of whom is a 19-year-old. This information was provided by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
Recall that at approximately 2:40 AM, an armed confrontation occurred at the home of former MP Artush Simonian, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, including the homeowner and the criminal authority known as Kankakh Tush. According to our sources, during a discussion of existing disagreements between the parties, the criminal authority, Kankakh Tush, fired the first shot. It is reported that he participated as a member of Nikol Pashinyan’s team during the recent elections, working in favor of the ruling Civil Contract Party.
Gunshots were reportedly fired using a weapon awarded to Araik Harutyunyan. Subsequently, A. Simonian's son returned fire with an automatic weapon directed at Tush and his associates. As a result of the exchange of gunfire, four individuals were killed, two of whom died at the scene—the former MP and the criminal authority—while the other two succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.
Four individuals with gunshot wounds are currently receiving medical assistance in the hospital, including Tush's son, Artush Simonian's child.
The police reported that during the examination of the scene, 45 shell casings and bullets, four pistols, and two submachine guns loaded with ammunition were discovered. A criminal case has been initiated under Articles 104, part 2 (subsections 1 and 6) and Article 235, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code, concerning the murder of two or more individuals in a manner dangerous to many lives and illegal possession of firearms.
