‘Kanakertsi Tuy’ killed a former MP in his own home with a weapon awarded by Araik Harutyunyan: details
This night in Yerevan, during the murder of four individuals, the weapon used in the crime was once again the one awarded by Araik Harutyunyan, the President of Artsakh. This was reported by 'Paqsinfo'.
Recall that around 02:40 today, an armed confrontation occurred at the home of former National Assembly MP Artush Simonian, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, including the host and criminal figure Kanakertsi Tuy.
According to our sources, during a discussion of existing disagreements, the criminal figure Kanakertsi Tuy fired the first shot, reportedly having acted as part of Nikol Pashinyan's team during these elections, working in support of the ruling Civil Contract party.
The gunfire was initiated with the weapon awarded by Araik Harutyunyan. Subsequently, A. Simonian’s son fired shots at Tuy and his associates using an automatic firearm.
As a result of the exchange of gunfire, four individuals were killed, two of whom died at the scene—the former MP and the criminal figure—and the other two died in the hospital. Four individuals are continuing to receive medical treatment for gunshot wounds, including Artush Simonian's son, Tyushi.
The police reported that during the examination of the crime scene, 45 cartridges and bullets, four handguns, and two automatic rifles with ammunition were discovered. A criminal case has been initiated based on the 104th article's 2nd part points 1 and 6 and the 235th article's 1st part of the Armenian Criminal Code, for the murder of two or more individuals in a dangerous manner for many lives and illegally possessing a weapon. The Investigative Committee has informed that four individuals have already been arrested in connection with the criminal case.
It should be noted that this is the second incident involving a weapon awarded by Araik Harutyunyan used in the center of Yerevan during disputes, this time resulting in death. Previously, Khachatur Sukiasyan’s brother had also fired shots with a weapon awarded by Araik Harutyunyan during a domestic dispute on Amiryan Street.
It remains unclear what services led to Kanakertsi Tuy's award, but, as noted, he worked in favor of Nikol Pashinyan during the early parliamentary elections.
