Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Hit-and-Run Incident

Today, on November 6, a fatal hit-and-run incident occurred in the Shirak region. Around 06:00, an unknown driver in an unidentified vehicle struck a male pedestrian aged between 55 and 60 on the 109 km stretch of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the injured pedestrian died at the scene, while the driver fled the site of the incident. The police and the investigative department are undertaking necessary operational-search and investigative joint actions to determine the identity of the deceased and the driver who caused the accident, as well as to locate the vehicle involved.
