Plane Crashes in South Sudan, Including Russian Casualties

A cargo plane, An-26, has crashed in South Sudan, resulting in the deaths of five people, including two Russians. The aircraft, carrying fuel, encountered an accident while taking off from the international airport in the capital, Juba. This was reported by Tamazuj radio station.

There were also three locals aboard the crashed An-26, who did not survive the incident. According to Star Tribune, the plane belonged to the local cargo carrier Optimum Aviation, and it was scheduled to fly from Juba to Mabaan.

Channel Al Hadath reported that a technical malfunction could be the cause of the crash. An investigation into the circumstances of the aviation accident is currently underway.
