Significant Increase in Tax Revenues Recorded This Year: Badassian
On November 2, during a joint meeting of the Economic and Financial-Banking and Budgetary Affairs Permanent Committees of the National Assembly of Armenia, the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Rustam Badassian, presented the income and expenditure sections mandated by the Law on the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2022, as reported by the National Assembly.
According to the speaker, the absolute increase in tax revenues from January to October 2021 compared to the same period in 2020 amounted to approximately 144 billion AMD, with a tax collection increase of 12.7%. Tax revenues collected in Armenia from January to October 2021 increased by 12.7% compared to the same period last year.
Addressing the registered job positions, the SRC chairman noted that the number of taxable individuals from January to September stands at 651,141. In his estimation, this is an absolute record in the nation's history, as there has never been as many active income tax payers before. The average salary calculated per individual is 223,137 AMD, with the total taxable base amounting to 145.294 billion AMD.
