Russia Deploys Missile-Equipped Fighters 3km from Turkish Border
Turkish media continues to publish reports suggesting that Turkey is set to launch a new military operation against Kurdish militants in northern Syria, whom it considers terrorists. This information is reported by Ermenihaber.am.
In this context, Turkish media indicates that Syrian government forces have begun to strengthen their positions in northern Syria, particularly in the Ain Issa area, amidst the backdrop of Turkey's potential military operation. Meanwhile, the Syrian Democratic Forces (a Kurdish armed group) have also sent a substantial number of troops to Ain Issa.
According to Turkish media, Russia has deployed missile-equipped fighters 3km from the Turkish border in Syria. Additionally, the Russian side has sent military helicopters to northern Syria. Reports indicate that three Russian military helicopters departed from the Kurdish-controlled Qamishli region towards Aleppo.
It is also mentioned that in light of the threat of Turkey's possible new military operation, Russia is conducting its air exercises in coordination with the Syrian government forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces.
Several Arab media outlets have reported that exercises are taking place in Turkey-controlled Afrin, involving fighters supported by Turkey, who enabled the Turkish side to effectively occupy Afrin a few years ago.
