Pashinyan Received the Minister of Defense of Georgia: What Was the Purpose of the Visit

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the Minister of Defense of Georgia, Juansher Burchuladze, today. Welcoming the guest, the Prime Minister stated, “I am pleased to note that there has been a very high dynamics in the relationship between Armenia and Georgia recently, and I am also glad that this dynamics is being strengthened by the visit of the Minister of Defense. We are interested in deepening our cooperation with Georgia in all areas and developing our fraternal relations. Of course, visits of this kind, as well as personal interactions among government members, are very important in this context. Once again, I welcome you.”

Expressing gratitude for the reception, the Minister of Defense of Georgia said, “It is a great honor for me to meet with a personality who has such a rich history (biography) as you. Before becoming the Minister of Defense, I was a deputy minister who later became the Prime Minister, and I am glad that your relationship with him lays the foundation for our continued cooperation. My visit is a continuation of that cooperation, and this progress will certainly be uninterrupted and continuous. Thank you once again.”

Nikol Pashinyan requested to convey warm greetings to his counterpart, Irakli Garibashvili, and emphasized that dialogue with the Prime Minister of Georgia and the government is based on full mutual trust, which provides a good foundation for the development of strategic cooperation. In the context of developing bilateral ties and realizing the existing potential, the Prime Minister of Armenia highlighted the partnership that has developed between the defense agencies of the two countries.

Juansher Burchuladze assessed the cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of Armenia as effective and aimed at expanding the programs. The interlocutors exchanged thoughts on strengthening their partnership in the defense sector and regional significance issues.
