«Hraparak»: The Number of Republicans Has Decreased by Nearly 10 Times

«Hraparak» newspaper writes: “We have already reported that the Republican Party (RP) has restarted its processes and is conducting a re-registration to determine who wants to continue their journey with the Republican Party and how many members remain in the RP. In December, the RP will hold a congress where the results of the re-registration will be summarized and their future plans will be announced. Although the process has not yet concluded, some information has already come to light.

Specifically, from what used to be a party with 120-130 thousand members, there are currently just over 10 thousand members remaining, at least that number of applications has been received indicating people's desire to continue their affiliation with the RP. Our Republican interlocutor also mentioned that in the past 2-3 months, they have received new applications from about 350 individuals, mostly young people.

Ruben Tadevosyan, the head of the RP’s organizational division, responded to inquiries about the number of applications: “I don’t know where you got that information; the calculations have not yet been completed. When they are done, we will inform you and publish the results.” As for whether it is possible that there are more than 10 thousand members, he said: “Anything is possible.”
