New Agreement Between Armenia and Azerbaijan

New Agreement Between Armenia and Azerbaijan

On November 9, Armenia and Azerbaijan will sign two new agreements in Moscow. This is reported by Aliq Media, citing its diplomatic sources.

The two agreements, which are nearly finalized, will be signed by Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev, with the mediation and participation of Vladimir Putin, unless unforeseen circumstances arise at the last minute.

The first agreement pertains to the demarcation and delimitation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan state borders, through which Yerevan and Baku will recognize each other’s borders and territorial integrity, based on the maps of the General Staff of the Soviet Union's Ministry of Defense from the 1920s. Not coincidentally, Vladimir Putin referenced these maps today.

The second agreement, around which a nearly final arrangement has also been achieved during the recent Armenian-Russian-Azerbaijani meeting at the level of deputy prime ministers, concerns the unblocking of communications in the region, specifically the details of establishing communication between Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan.
