Putin Reveals Disagreement with Erdogan on UN Security Council Reform

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that he disagrees with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's views on the reform of the UN Security Council.

“If we eliminate the veto power of permanent members, the UN will die on that day. It will become the League of Nations. It will simply be a discussion platform – 'Valdai Club number two,'” Putin's words are quoted by Interfax.

At the same time, he emphasized that there is a need to consider how to make the organization more balanced. “Moreover, Erdogan is right on this matter; it was born after World War II when there was a certain balance of power. Now it is changing,” Putin highlighted.
