Zakharova Comments on Tensions in Peacekeepers' Control Zone

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, addressed the tensions in the peacekeepers' responsibility zone in Nagorno-Karabakh during her weekly briefing.

“The situation in the area under the responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping forces, including the recent incidents, was discussed during the trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan on October 14. This issue is also a constant topic of discussion at the level of the Russian peacekeeping contingent and the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of Armenia and Azerbaijan. We are making every effort to prevent violations of the ceasefire regime in the area under the control of the peacekeepers,” said Zakharova, referring to the deaths of civilians in Nagorno-Karabakh.
