Extremely Difficult Geopolitical Situation Created: Seyran Ohanyan

The minimal successes that occurred in the recent war happened thanks to the bravery of our courageous commanders and the heroic actions of their soldiers. This was stated today, on October 21, during a discussion organized by the initiative "Truth for Generations" by Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the Parliamentary "Armenia" faction and former Minister of Defense.

He noted that throughout history, Armenians have always faced challenges directed against our people. "In such situations, we have always emerged through unity, the devotion of our heroic sons, and the bravery of our soldiers. No matter the defeats we registered, nonetheless, along the 283-km border line, which surrounded Artsakh, we managed to maintain our contact line in approximately 265 km thanks to our military's skillful maneuvers. And where there was an encroachment by the adversary, especially in the southern part of Artsakh, the military commanders were able to preserve the dignity of the Armenian people through their self-sacrifice," he emphasized.

Seyran Ohanyan pointed out that an extremely difficult geopolitical situation has emerged around the Republic of Armenia today; the security environment is fragile, and there are many external and internal threats. "However, our capabilities to prevent these threats are not very high, especially given that we are in a psychological situation where less than a year has passed, and the wounds that the entire Armenian nation has bear still remain unhealed," he stressed.
