Not Only Arush Arushanyan’s Headquarters, But the Authorities Also Celebrated Arushanyan’s Victory Until Dawn
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "After the counting of votes at polling stations in Goris, not only did champagne corks pop at Arush Arushanyan’s headquarters, but the authorities also celebrated Arushanyan’s victory until dawn. Under the auspices of Governor Melikset Poghosyan, the members of the ruling party toasted to Arush’s victory. The thing is, he is the godson of the governor; of course, there has been no contact between them for about three years, but not only the sacredness of their godfather relationship but also the fact that Arushanyan was in the fortress played a role, and even the governor’s son worked in support of Arushyan.
In general, it has been very important for the people of Goris to help someone who was in a "tight spot," and a respectable part of the votes cast in favor of Arush has been due to his presence in the fortress. Therefore, the authorities have fallen into the pit they dug for themselves; they thought that isolating Arush would hinder his election, but the opposite effect took place. Only Armen Khachatryan, who was "dead set" on the elections in Goris and promoted Abuntsi, was absent from the celebration. Incidentally, some members of the ruling party believe that Nikol Pashinyan had also foreseen that they would not win in Goris, which is why he sent former Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan and Arsen Torosyan to Syunik. People on whom he has a "grudge," and losing would shatter them completely.
