Fact: Leaving the 'Ship' – 'Far from Gossip and Misfortune'

According to the 'Fact' newspaper, elections will take place on November 14 in the communities of Stepanavan, Kapan, and Ijevan, and on December 5, elections will be held in 36 communities simultaneously, including Ashtarak, Vagharshapat, Gavar, Sevan, Vanadzor, Hrazdan, and Noyemberyan, among others.

In the context of their desire to 'seize' local self-government positions, the authorities have long been preparing for these elections, establishing relevant headquarters in the regions, and collaborating with local activists and 'vote collectors.'

However, according to the 'Fact' newspaper, the results of the October 17 elections, particularly in Goris and Gyumri, have significantly disrupted their plans and had a cold shower effect on them. Throughout yesterday, we received information from various communities that the local headquarters of the ruling 'Civil Contract' party are simply collapsing.

The reason is that there are depressed and apathetic moods both among many members of the 'Civil Contract' party and, particularly, among the aforementioned activists and 'vote collectors,' resulting in them starting to abandon the 'ship' of the party.

This specifically concerns those who had been 'good' with both the former and current regimes, and who, confident that the ruling force would win the local elections without much effort, had settled under Pashinyan's 'flag.' However, after the more concrete understanding gained from the elections on Sunday, they have realized that this 'ship' is sinking in all aspects and are quickly trying to reposition themselves, adhering to the logic of being 'far from gossip and misfortune.'
