Norway to Provide Significant Batch of Moderna Vaccine to Armenia

On October 18, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahe Gevorgyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Armenia, Helen Sand Andreassen (based in Tbilisi), to present copies of her credentials. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

The Deputy Foreign Minister congratulated Helen Sand Andreassen on taking up her responsible mission and expressed hope that the new ambassador would contribute to strengthening Armenian-Norwegian relations and expanding the agenda.

The interlocutors reaffirmed their mutual readiness to take steps towards activating political dialogue, developing mutually beneficial cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats, and fully utilizing the existing potential. Ambassador Andreassen informed that within the framework of the 'Team Europe' initiative, Norway would supply a significant batch of the Moderna vaccine to Armenia.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister comprehensively presented the current situation surrounding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to his interlocutor. In this context, the necessity of fully resuming the peace process in Nagorno-Karabakh under the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group was emphasized.
