In Goris and Gyumri the ruling party lost, while it won in Dilijan and Tatev: preliminary results of local elections
The preliminary results of the local self-government elections in several communities of Armenia have been announced.
Goris, Syunik Province
Specifically, in Goris, the incumbent mayor Arush Arushanyan has won. As Goris Deputy Mayor Menua Hovsepian informed reporters, the "Arush Arushanyan" alliance received 6,256 votes. 3,590 votes were cast for the candidate of the ruling "Civil Contract" party, Vladimir Abunts, and 243 votes for Karen Lazaryan, a representative of the "Armenian National Congress".
Gyumri, Shirak Province
According to preliminary data, the ruling party is also losing in the elections in Gyumri. The "Balasanyan Alliance" received 36.31% of the votes, with the "Civil Contract" party in second place at 29.36%. The "Zartonk" party came in third with 10.42%. In total, 10 political forces participated in the elections in Gyumri.
Dilijan, Tavush Province
Simultaneously, as reported on the Facebook page of the ruling "Civil Contract" party, its candidate Davit Sargsyan won the elections in Dilijan, gaining 57% of the votes.
Tatev, Syunik Province
According to the ruling party's information, their candidate Davit Gulunts won in the Tatev community of Syunik Province, gathering 1,530 votes. His competitor was the "Living Land" party.
Civil Contract party candidate Arthur Matevosyan also won in Tatev, receiving 1,281 votes.
