You Are Either in Power or in Opposition, Being in Between Is Not a Good Position, It Ends in Marginality – Saghatelyan

The unification of forces and the formation of a National Resistance is a vital necessity. This was stated by Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction in the National Assembly, on his Facebook page.

“We would be delighted if extraparliamentary forces formulate agendas for struggle outside the parliament (as we used to do in the past). We not only welcome that but are also fully prepared to cooperate with those forces and individuals. Today, there are many political and social worthy figures who are not in parliament but are genuinely and authentically fighting against this government's evil. However, there are also forces and individuals who believe it is their duty to discredit or undermine the activities of the parliamentary opposition in order to have a foothold in the political arena, not understanding a simple textbook truth: you are either in power or in opposition; being in between is not a good position, and it ends in marginality.

We are open to broad cooperation with all real opposition forces and individuals, always ready to listen to both criticism and proposals, and prepared to fight together both in and out of the parliament. We are ready to form a common front to devise the agenda of national resistance, unite our forces, and act together to prevent the Turkification of Armenia. As long as this government exists, the statehood of Armenia is in danger, thus their removal must be the primary goal of every conscious Armenian. The unification of forces and the formation of a National Resistance is a vital necessity... the rest is merely a waste of time, a diversion from real agendas,” wrote Saghatelyan.
