Amid Azerbaijani-Iranian Tensions, a Political Scientist's Proposal

Amid the rising tensions between Azerbaijan and Iran, and the ongoing process of Azerbaijan acquiring weapons from around the world, it would be beneficial for Armenia to seek agreements on arms procurement from Iran. This was stated by political scientist Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan on his Facebook page.

“The Iranian defense industry has all kinds of products necessary for our defense needs, ranging from missiles to unmanned aerial strike vehicles, armored vehicles, air defense systems, and more. This resource has been inaccessible to the Armenian side for years. There were many reasons for this, but it is evident that the main part of these reasons is no longer relevant at this time. We must take advantage of this opportunity. Tomorrow or the day after it may be too late; the situation is changing rapidly, and this is a good window of opportunity,” wrote Melik-Shahnazaryan.
