Key Left on Opel Leads to Theft: Details

The police reported that on October 5, at 10:40 PM, a report was received regarding a stolen Opel vehicle in the Armavir district.

Operational staff dispatched from the Armavir police department established that between 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM, an unknown individual took advantage of the fact that the key was left in the ignition and stole the Opel parked in the yard of one of the buildings on Respublika Street.

As a result of operational-investigative measures taken by the criminal investigators of Armavir, it was determined that the car was stolen by a 40-year-old man from the village of Janfida, who, following conversation with the police, appeared at the department on October 6 with the stolen vehicle and confessed to the theft.

The circumstances are being clarified and an investigation is underway.
