Mass Fight in Central Yerevan: Injuries Reported
According to Samshyan.com, the investigative department of the Central Police Division is preparing materials regarding a brawl that occurred days ago in the park opposite building 17 on Alek Manukyan Street.
The news agency reports that on September 24, the Central Police Division received a call from Yerevan’s Number 1 University Hospital, stating that a citizen had been admitted with a "stab wound to the right waist and seat." Police have identified the injured individual as 19-year-old Narek A. from Gegharkunik Province.
While medical staff were providing assistance, police conducted a coordinated operation and apprehended several individuals suspected of hooliganism in the mentioned park. Among those detained were 20-year-old Hayk P., 25-year-old Harutyun H., 20-year-old Arman S., 38-year-old Erik Y. from Lori Province, 29-year-old Shaheen A., 28-year-old Dorik V., 19-year-old Narek P. from Armavir Province, 30-year-old Garik H., 30-year-old Davit M., and 28-year-old Arghisti V., all from Gegharkunik Province.
Police discovered that the suspects displayed blatant disrespect towards the public and grossly violated public order, during which Narek A. sustained a bodily injury. Furthermore, Arman S. had a bloody, lacerated wound on his head. A bloody knife was found at the scene, and a folding knife was discovered during a search of Hayk P.
Those detained were subsequently released. By the decision of the investigator from the Central Police Division, forensic and medical examinations have been ordered regarding the incident.
