Man Kills 35-Year-Old Neighbor in Act of Revenge for Death of Niece Caused by Car Accident
The Investigation Committee of Armenia has revealed all the circumstances surrounding the murder of a 35-year-old man in the Lori region following extensive investigative and procedural actions.
According to the investigation, a 37-year-old resident of Vanadzor confronted the victim due to the death of his niece resulting from a car accident. On March 23, 2021, at 10:40 AM, he drove to the victim's residence, lured him out with a phone call, and allegedly fired multiple shots from a hunting rifle he had brought with him, targeting vital organs in the head and chest area, causing fatal injuries.
Based on the collected evidence, the 37-year-old man has been charged under part 1 of Article 104 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. Pre-trial detention has been chosen as a measure of restraint.
The preliminary investigation has been completed, and the criminal case has been sent to the prosecutor overseeing the investigation for approval and to be forwarded to the court.
