Major Chain Reaction Car Accident in Yerevan Leaves Injuries
On September 28, a major chain reaction car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 21:00, four vehicles collided on Hasratyan Street, near the "Shant" restaurant complex.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, preliminary reports indicate that four individuals were injured and transported to Armenia Medical Center.
The Emergency Situations Ministry's rescue service team from Yerevan's 7th fire and rescue squad arrived on the scene promptly with two fire trucks. Additionally, patrol officers from the 2nd company of the Yerevan police's patrol service were quickly dispatched, under the command of company commander Armen Gasparyan.
At the scene, enhanced services were provided by patrol officers Vardan Mirzoyan and Levon Voskanyan to prevent curious drivers from parking their vehicles near the accident site and causing traffic disruptions. The rescue service personnel disconnected the vehicles' batteries and closed the gas cylinders.
Information regarding the accident was relayed to the traffic accidents investigation and administrative proceedings division of the Yerevan police, where an on-duty group led by division head Grigor Avetisyan and senior investigator Gegham Saroyan responded.
Materials are being prepared regarding the incident. The police are working to identify the drivers and the injured individuals.
