Iran and Azerbaijan Foreign Ministers Meet to Discuss Regional Situation
In New York, during the United Nations General Assembly, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. This was reported by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The ministers discussed several issues regarding bilateral relations, including prospects for cooperation in economic, energy, trade, agricultural, and other sectors. They also addressed the current situation in the region.
The Iranian foreign minister emphasized that Iran is interested in developing comprehensive relations with Azerbaijan. Additionally, the Iranian Foreign Ministry reported that Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian called on the Azerbaijani authorities to exert greater efforts to implement existing agreements during the meeting.
According to the statement, the Iranian foreign minister noted that Iran and Azerbaijan should not allow third countries to interfere in their relations.
