The Armenia Party Appeals to the Constitutional Court Against Order Effective October 1
The Armenia Party, taking into account public response and the government’s repeated disregard for objective criticism, has today submitted an application to the Constitutional Court challenging the order issued by the Minister of Health on August 20, 2021, which comes into effect on October 1. This order renders vaccination an indirect obligation and imposes disproportionate and unlawful requirements on all employees to conduct PCR tests every 14 days at their own expense.
It is evident that these authorities once again leave the financial burden on the public, whereas internationally, there is a prevalent approach that the costs of testing should be covered by the government. Alongside the application, a request has also been made to suspend the order’s operation until the conclusion of the case. The representative of the applicants in the Constitutional Court will be Aram Vardevanian, a deputy of the Armenia Party and a constitutional expert.
