VIDEO: Firefighting Efforts Resume with 8 Units Deployed in Aravik Park

As of September 20 at 08:00, firefighting operations have resumed in the territory of the Aravik National Park. Eight firefighting units from the regional rescue departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have been deployed to the scene.

The Director of Emergency Situations, Colonel Armen Gasparyan, is present at the site. A total of 30 rescuers are participating in the firefighting efforts. It is important to note that on September 19 at 07:30, operational groups from the regional rescue departments and firefighting units were dispatched to the Aravik National Park territory, along with a special rescue group from the Rescue Forces Administration. Three firefighting units were also involved in the efforts.

Approximately 300 hectares of vegetation have been burned. A total of 126 rescue workers and 12 employees from the Zangezur Biosphere Complex have participated in the firefighting operations. Due to darkness, the firefighting efforts were temporarily suspended, and a watch has been established by the personnel of the Zangezur Biosphere Complex.
