VIDEO: Major Fire in Yerevan, Numerous Firefighters Arrive
Today, on September 14, a significant fire broke out in Yerevan. At around 11:35, the crisis management national center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call reporting a fire at 25 Griboedov Street in the Arabkir administrative district.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, several fire-fighting units from the fire and rescue service of Yerevan arrived promptly, and currently, a large number of firefighters and employees of the furniture production facility are battling the blaze.
Emergency medical services from the 1-03 ambulance are also on-site with two standby teams, ready to assist people in need should the situation require it.
The Yerevan patrol police, led by the commander of the second battalion Levon Badalyan, are also providing reinforced services at the location. The patrol officers have cordoned off the section of the road leading to the furniture production facility to prevent curious citizens from parking their vehicles and obstructing the work of the facility's employees.
A Level BIS-1 emergency warning has been declared at the location.
