Taliban militants have discovered 6.5 million dollars and gold bars at the house of Afghan Vice President Amrullah Saleh. This information was shared by Afghan activist Mohammad Jalal on his Twitter account. According to him, 'this is just the tip of the iceberg.'

The searches were carried out by Afghan security forces as part of an operation led by the Taliban movement. All discovered items have been confiscated by law enforcement officials.

On September 8, in Tajikistan, Afghanistan's ambassador Zaher Akbar confirmed that Amrullah Saleh is in Panjshir and continues to exercise his powers. The diplomat reminded that Saleh's status as deputy head of state is guaranteed by the Constitution of Afghanistan.
