Abduction Attempt in Georgia Ends in Tragedy: Grandmother Killed by Hit-and-Run

Yesterday, a group of young men attempted to abduct a girl in the Marneuli region of Georgia, which tragically resulted in a fatal accident. The incident took place in the village of Algeti. According to reports, the assailants tried to forcibly place a 23-year-old girl into their vehicle as she was returning home with her mother and grandmother.

The young men attempted to overpower the girl, but her mother and grandmother resisted their efforts. When the abductors realized they were unsuccessful, they tried to flee the scene in their car. In their haste, they struck the girl's grandmother, who died at the scene. The girl's mother and a neighbor also sustained injuries.

The local police have launched an investigation into the incident. Those suspected of the attempted abduction have been arrested in the city of Rustavi.
