Armed Student Detained at Garegin Nzhdeh Metro Station

On September 13, at 16:45, officers from the Metro Police Department apprehended an 18-year-old student from one of Yerevan's colleges, a resident of the village of Azatashen in the Ararat region, at the Garegin Nzhdeh metro station. According to the Armenian police, he is suspected of carrying a weapon.

A stabbing weapon was found in the young man's possession. A forensic examination has been ordered. The circumstances are under investigation.
