Video of a Tragic Hit-and-Run Incident

A resident of the Ararat region, born in 1996, had their driving license suspended by the Armenian police Department of Traffic Police. While under the influence, on September 14, 2021, at approximately 01:15, they struck a 68-year-old pedestrian on Artsakh Street in Yerevan while driving a Range Rover, causing death through negligence.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Yerevan investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia under Part 2 of Article 243.1 and Part 2 of Article 242 of the Armenian Criminal Code. An investigation of the crime scene and the aforementioned vehicle has been conducted, and a forensic examination of the body has been appointed. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
