Fire Destroys Packaged Construction Materials and Economic Property in Yerevan

Firefighters have extinguished a fire that broke out in a warehouse located at 25 Griboedov Street in Yerevan. Packaged construction materials and economic property were completely destroyed.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, at 11:38 AM on September 14, the Crisis Management National Center received a notification that smoke was visible from the warehouse at 25 Griboedov Street.

“Four fire-fighting teams from the Fire and Rescue Service of the Emergency Situations Ministry went to the scene under a '1BIS' complexity call. Operational teams from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Division and the Crisis Management National Center also responded. It was determined that a fire had broken out in the warehouse at 25 Griboedov Street. The fire was upgraded to a 'Level 2' complexity call, and two additional fire-fighting teams from the Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene,” the statement said.

According to the source, the fire was contained by 1:57 PM and extinguished by 3:34 PM. Packaged construction materials and economic property were completely burned.
