Donald Trump to Participate in the 2024 Presidential Race
Former U.S. President and Republican Donald Trump is set to participate in the upcoming 2024 presidential race. However, he has not yet made a final decision and is waiting for the right time to announce this, according to his associates. This was reported on Tuesday by Politico, citing sources close to Trump as well as members of the U.S. Republican Party, as reported by TASS.
The publication notes that the former president has significantly increased his presence in the media landscape lately, while his campaign team has ramped up fundraising efforts and begun placing more political advertisements targeting current Democratic President Joe Biden.
According to the sources, Biden's declining ratings amid the spread of the coronavirus and the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan have strengthened Trump's interest in participating in the elections. “He hasn’t truly decided, but we all believe he will run,” one source stated, indicating that Trump is waiting for the most opportune moment.
The newspaper's information suggests confidence that Trump intends to participate in the next presidential race, with Republican Congressman Jim Jordan from Ohio, considered one of the former White House occupant's most active supporters, also expressing this belief.
Meanwhile, Trump’s former advisor and press secretary Jason Miller is convinced that the former president is 99-100% likely to run for office again. “I believe he will definitely participate in the 2024 elections. We had a good conversation last night,” he noted, while emphasizing that Trump has not yet made a final decision.
