Fighting Continues in Panjshir Against the Taliban
The anti-Taliban resistance forces continue their struggle against the insurgents of the movement. According to a report by RIA Novosti, Ali Nazari, a representative of the resistance forces, shared this information on his Twitter page.
“Compatriots, the eagles and lions of the Gindukush and Andarab districts of Panjshir province are heroically cleansing our home from the filth that arrived this week,” Nazari stated.
It is noteworthy that the Taliban have actively taken action in parallel with the withdrawal of American troops from the country, seizing several provinces and cities, including border areas. On August 15, the Taliban entered the capital Kabul, shortly after which the country's president, Ashraf Ghani, fled the country.
Later, the Taliban announced the establishment of a governing council consisting of 12 members. Recently, it was revealed that the new government formed by the Taliban will be headed by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar. Only the Panjshir province in the north of the country continues to resist the Taliban.
