Lawyer of Serzh Sargsyan Files Complaint Against Khachatur Sukiasyan
Member of Parliament and representative of the "Civil Contract" party, Khachatur Sukiasyan, must refute the information he made against Armenia's third President, Serzh Sargsyan, from the podium of the National Assembly. This was stated by the former leader's lawyer, Amram Makinyan, during a briefing with reporters, adding that they have approached the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan for this purpose.
"Khachatur Sukiasyan must refute the information that tarnishes Serzh Sargsyan’s good reputation and honor from the very place he made it, namely, from the podium of the National Assembly. In general, we declare today as the day to fight against lies; any defamation will not go unchallenged. Serzh Sargsyan had given a 24-hour ultimatum for such statements, which he failed to provide appropriate evidence for," he said.
Recall that Khachatur Sukiasyan claimed that Serzh Sargsyan allegedly "lost about 100 million dollars at the Baden-Baden casino."
