Junior Sergeant Gegham Sahakyan Posthumously Awarded the Combat Service Medal

The President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has signed a decree to award the Combat Service Medal to Junior Sergeant Gegham Sahakyan, who was killed at the positions in Yeraskh on September 1.

Below is the decree:

“Based on the Prime Minister's motion and in accordance with Article 136 of the Constitution, and Articles 5.3, parts 1 and 9 of the Law on State Awards and Titles of the Republic of Armenia, the Combat Service Medal is hereby posthumously awarded to Junior Sergeant Gegham Lyovayi Sahakyan, the commander of a platoon of military unit No. N of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, for demonstrating courage and dedication while defending the borders of the homeland.”
