Relatives of Fallen Soldiers Attack Officials in Artsakh with Stones

A significant incident occurred yesterday involving officials from the ruling Civil Contract party who traveled to Artsakh. A group of relatives of deceased soldiers entered the 'Armenia' hotel in Stepanakert, where the party officials were staying, and attempted to attack them with stones.

The relatives were outraged by the officials' visit to Artsakh, claiming that they hold them responsible for the loss of their loved ones, asserting that they have no right to set foot in Artsakh. The situation was de-escalated by Artsakh's Minister of Internal Affairs, Major General Karen Sargsyan, who negotiated with the victims' families and convinced them to refrain from taking drastic actions.

It should be noted that the seven-member group of Civil Contract officials was escorted by 12 security personnel from the national army, indicating foresight that some might express their discontent over the actions taken against Artsakh and their loved ones, potentially leading to aggressive confrontations, such as stone-throwing.
