Junior Sergeant Killed in Yerasx Was Married and Had 2 Children

On September 1st, during another provocation by the Azerbaijani armed forces towards one of the Armenian positions located in the Yerasx area, contract serviceman Junior Sergeant Gegham Lyovayi Sahakyan, aged 39, sustained a fatal gunshot wound. He was from Artashat.

In an interview with NEWS.am, close acquaintances shared that the junior sergeant was married and had two children. “He was a man of respect, always helping others. Before going to the positions, he would always make sure to say goodbye to all his loved ones. On the last day, he came and said, ‘Everything will be just fine.’ He was a unique guy, there was no malice in him at all,” recounted one of his close friends.
