Earthquake Recorded in Armenia-Georgia Border Area

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 has been recorded in the Armenia-Georgia border area, 13 kilometers northeast of the village of Bavra, at a depth of 10 kilometers. This information was reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

On September 3, 2021, at 14:29 local time (10:29 GMT), the seismic protection regional service’s seismic network registered the earthquake at geographical coordinates 41.18° N and 43.94° E. The intensity of the tremor in the epicentral zone was measured at 4-5 points.

The earthquake was felt in several areas of Armenia, including the Shirak region's Saragyugh, Zuygakhbyur, Amasia, Ashotzk, Tavgushat, Bavra, and in the Lori region's Shirakamut village, with intensity reaching 3 points.
