Will Textbooks Be Paid or Free? Order from the Ministry of Education

According to the order of Vahram Dumanyan, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, the amounts of investment funds for textbooks for the 2021-2022 academic year have been established for educational institutions implementing general education programs.

“According to the order, students in grades 1-4 will receive textbooks for free, while textbooks for grades 5-12 will be provided for an annual fee. The textbooks are intended for 5 years of use, with annual fees set at 280-550 drams, depending on the grade and subjects,” the Ministry of Education and Science informed.

They also report that, per the decision of the Government of Armenia, all students in schools in border settlements receive textbooks for free.
