We Don’t Want to Stay in Yerevan, Our Land and Water Are Ours, Give Us Land, Water, Let Us Live: Kashatagh Resident

Kashatagh residents have once again staged a protest in front of the government building, demanding the return of their homes.

“Our demand is as follows: let them come and clearly state that on this month, on this day, you will be provided with everything. We don't want to hear from various places that someone is taking bags of dollars. Alternatively, let the vehicles pick us up and transport us to Russia or Europe. Araik Harutyunyan doesn’t exist for us. We demand that the Armenian government either answers the displaced people or gives us refugee status and exports us out,” said one of the participants of the protest.

“Our children are still serving in Artsakh today, but for whom are they serving, for the soldiers or for the beasts? We don’t want to remain in Yerevan; our land and water are ours, give us land, water, let us live. If not, give us refugee status and some time to leave. My house is being returned to me in Armenia, the 10 million Araik gave will only go to his own head; if he hasn’t filled his pockets, let him fill them,” the protester added.
